Join me on a very special photography expedition to one of Western Australia's most stunning wildflower hotspots! Western Australia's Coral Coast is a MECCA for wildflower photography enthusiasts and is said to be having the best wildflower season in a decade!

So grab your cameras and join myself and a small group of fellow photographers in this special Spring wildflower photography workshop near Jurien Bay. We will be exploring one of the most beautiful walk trails in the area with an abundance of wildflowers so there will be loads of opportunities to get some amazing shots. This workshop will be very hands-on, conducted entirely outdoors, and lots of fun. I simplify the techniques needed to create beautiful wildflowers photographs without a macro lens, making wildflower photography accessible to everyone.

You don't need a macro lens to get started in wildflower photography, I promise!  In this beginners workshop, I will show you how to start capturing great photos with the camera and lens you already have. This is a beginners workshop, however you will need a basic understanding of how to change your aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

Learn how to create wildflower photos with gorgeous blurry backgrounds; how to get more depth of colour in your wildflower photos; how to use a diffuser to get beautiful wildflower photos in any light, even harsh sunlight; how to create beautifully backlit photographs; composition for close-ups flower portraits and flowers in the landscape....and lots of other tips and tricks. If you are a novice photographer who would loves getting outdoors and would like to take their photography a little further...this workshop is perfect for you!

Note: this is not a macro photography workshop. It is an entry level workshop to open the door for those who wish to explore the realm of wildflower photography without having to invest in expense new gear.

These workshops are an opportunity for you to learn about photography and spend an afternoon shooting in a fun, hands-on and supportive environment with other like-minded, enthusiastic photographers! It is a great way to exchange ideas with other photographers, get out of the city and into the great outdoors, learn some new photographic skills…and create a few killer shots!
